The Career Development Office at Ashoka concluded a successful year of placements for the graduating cohort of 2021.
Over 300 students were placed across 146 organisations including McKinsey, Deutsche Bank, A.T Kearney, Accenture, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte USI, Genpact, Google, Sattva Consulting, and Zomato.
Activities for the next year commenced with the second edition of the Career Preparatory Program in August 2021, and placements for the Class of 2022 are underway. The Career Preparatory Program was delivered across three modules -- Data Analytics, Business Communication, and Building Professional and Leadership Skills.
The Program imparted a proficiency in Excel, Resume Building, MS Excel, Predictive Analytics, Statistics and Accounting, Group Discussions, and Interview Preparation, among other skills.
In August, Hindustan Unilever Limited had extended a pre-placement offer with a salary of 30 LPA to a candidate who was enrolled at HUL’s summer internship programme through Ashoka’s Internship Cell. Similarly, AbinBev offered a pre-placement offer to 3 candidates and JSW Steel rolled out the same to one candidate.
This year, The Career Development Office successfully launched its first-ever Day 0 edition, which generated over 100 offers from organisations across industries and sectors in just the first few weeks of placements, which was a first in Ashoka’s placements history.
Leading firms including Bain & Co., BCG, EY Parthenon, A.T Kearney, Accenture, Deloitte USI, Google, Alvarez and Marsal, Deutsche Bank, and Gartner have extended 130+ offers and several more from other industries are on the way. As we move forward, the office continues to support our graduating batches via mock interviews and case study support, career counselling support, CDO Speaker Series sessions, and various other initiatives. We envision this year to be one of the firsts that achieves a 100% placement target in a record time.
The Career Development Office along with the Ashoka Internship Cell also placed Ashokans with prestigious organisations such as Adobe, BigBasket, HSBC, HUL, ITC, PARI, PATH, and TRIF for the summer. Over 120 organisations rolled out offers to interns, and the highest stipend offered this year was 1.5 lakhs per month at Hindustan Unilever Limited.
